Many reports about alleged attacks and aggression by the Ukrainian side, reported by Russian media, are untrue. These reports are a part of the informational war from the Russian Federation.

In his recent interview for the pro-Kremlin media Rossiya1 and RIA Novosti, Vladimir Putin openly criticized Finland and Sweden's joining NATO. "From the point of view of securing our national interests, this is an absolutely senseless step on their part," he assessed. He added that the Scandinavians benefited more from neutrality because they acted as negotiators "to reduce tensions in Europe".

"Destruction systems" will be deployed to the Russian-Finnish border

According to Putin, Russia's relations with the Nordic countries were stable and good, particularly with Finland, which was "ideal". "We removed all the military from the Russian-Finnish border. There were no soldiers there, but now there will be. There were no destruction systems, but now there will be," the dictator announced, emphasizing that "they (the Finns) made that decision".

"They benefited from our market; we bought a lot from them. What is wrong with that? Now, the situation will change. Since many of their products are available on other markets, they are not really needed by us," added Putin.

The dictator also warned the West that Russia is technically ready for nuclear war, and the deployment of US troops to Ukraine will be considered a significant escalation of the conflict.
"Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons if it concerns the existence of the Russian state infringing on sovereignty and independence of the country," he stated.
