The presidential elections in Russia wrapped up on Sunday. As expected, Vladimir Putin won, securing, according to data published on the official website of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, over 87 percent of the votes.

Ukrainian politician Anton Herashchenko extensively discussed the results of the Russian elections. "These elections were completely illegal. Putin is not the legitimate president of the Russian Federation. If we were to look for something positive in the Russian elections, it would actually be Putin's last term."

Putin could also count on votes of support. He was joined by the president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, who also called the election victory a "triumph". The Cuban leader behaved similarly.

Ukraine and the USA do not believe Putin

President Zelenskyy commented on the results of the exit poll during his evening speech, expressing the opinion that "the Russian dictator is rigging another election" and accusing Putin of having "enough power to rule forever".

There can be no talk of legitimizing electoral fiction. Such people should stand before the International Court of Justice in The Hague. That is our task - said Zelenskyy.

The United States also expressed skepticism towards the exit poll results declaring that the elections in Russia "were certainly neither free nor fair".
