Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spent the past few days travelling through South America. Despite appearing to enjoy themselves with radiant smiles, Prince Harry's thoughts were elsewhere. The royal family member longs to return to his native country.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their presence known after a few weeks of absence by embarking on a four-day visit to Colombia in mid-August upon the special invitation of the country's vice president, Francia Márquez. During numerous meetings with officials, invited guests, and residents of Bogotá, they continued the mission of their Archewell Foundation by participating in discussion panels dedicated, among other topics, to the role of social media in shaping new generations. In their free time, they enjoyed learning about local traditions and culture, highlighted by a thrilling salsa show in which they eagerly participated.

The couple, under constant camera scrutiny, shone like stars of the highest calibre, gifting everyone around them with heartfelt smiles. Meghan seemed genuinely delighted with this prestigious honour and the opportunity to reappear in the media. At the same time, her husband experienced an internal dilemma, hiding his longing for the life he left behind in the United Kingdom.

Prince Harry increasingly envies his brother's respect among compatriots

It seemed that Harry and Meghan's groundbreaking decision four years ago to abandon their royal duties would mark the beginning of their long-desired freedom and a career based solely on their terms. However, this tempting vision has become the greatest torment for the 39-year-old. For some time now, he has increasingly been inclined towards the desire to return to his homeland.

His longtime friend stated to the British newspaper "The Times," admitting that Prince Harry feels distinctly disappointed by the loss of his high social status. He noted that if he could, he would turn back time and completely revise his future plans.

According to his old friend, Archie and Lilibet's dad feels a complete sense of failure, exacerbated by the enormous respect and admiration that William and Kate enjoy among their future subjects. He reportedly also increasingly suffers from the lack of the smallest pleasures, which a few years ago seemed natural to him.

Do you think the "prodigal son" will still have a chance to redeem his sins?
