Prince Harry returns to UK amidst father's illness, but brotherly reconciliation seems unlikely

Prince Harry found out about King Charles III's critical illness shortly before Buckingham Palace's official announcement. Upon hearing the news, the monarch's son made an immediate decision to return to his homeland. On Tuesday, Meghan Markle's husband arrived at London's Heathrow Airport following an 11-hour flight with British Airways from California.

The ruler's younger son has already met with ill Charles at Clarence House. At the moment, it's uncertain how long Harry plans to stay in the UK. Initially, it was speculated that the prince's arrival could be an opportunity to mend family relationships. However, despite a conversation with their father, it seems unlikely that a reconciliation between brothers will occur.

Prince Harry won't meet William during his London visit

According to "The Daily Mail", sources from the palace have denied any planned meeting between the monarch's sons. Prince William, it is reported, does not intend to meet Harry. The future king is said to be dedicating his time to care for his children and Kate, who is recovering from abdominal surgery.

Noteworthy is the fact that the prince plans to resume his duties on Wednesday, overseeing an investiture at Windsor Castle, followed by his attendance at the London Air Ambulance Service gala the same evening. Meghan Markle's husband would be open to visiting his brother, should the opportunity present itself.

The primary purpose for the prince's trip to the UK is to visit his father. However, if a chance to see the Prince of Wales arose, the prince would happily take it -  commented a person close to Harry for "The Daily Mail".
