New facts have emerged in the case of the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump. According to the BBC, the father of 20-year-old Matthew Crooks, who shot at the politician, had contacted the police before the attack. He reportedly expressed concern over his son's whereabouts.

According to the BBC, the father of 20-year-old Matthew Crooks called the police because he was worried about his son. This is another indication that the assassination could have been prevented. It is unclear what the shooter's father told the police exactly. What is certain is that he was anxious about his son due to a lack of contact and being unaware of his whereabouts. The exact timing of the call is also unknown, but it occurred before the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Investigators have revealed that Crooks had been searching online for information on mental disorders. He also sought details about the Democratic convention in August. On his computer, he had saved photos of Trump, President Joe Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Chris Wray, and a member of the British royal family.

Signals about the shooter

It should be noted that American media reported signals concerning Crooks' presence at the rally in Butler before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. The police were reportedly informed by a sniper about a suspicious individual in the area 20 minutes before the incident.

Further reports indicate that a police officer climbed onto the roof of the building where Crooks was located. However, the officer withdrew when the shooter pointed a gun at him. The officer then alerted other individuals responsible for Donald Trump's security, including the Secret Service. Unfortunately, the 20-year-old fired shots moments later.
