The first film, "Inside Out," grossed over 640 million pounds worldwide and won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA award. The second part of the animation has a chance to earn even more because it is already breaking records.

The animation "Inside Out" first appeared in cinemas in 2015. The film, directed by Peter Docter, cost around 140 million pounds and earned 685 million worldwide, which was astonishing to many—breaking James Cameron's "Avatar" record in its first weekend. That was remarkable. Critics praised the film, audiences flooded cinemas, and finally, the animation collected the most important industry awards. The second part was only a matter of time. It took 9 years to produce. The trailer broke popularity records, as we wrote in a previous article.

"Inside Out 2" conquers cinemas

Since the beginning of June, you can watch the second part of Riley's adventures, which is guided by various emotions - led by Joy. The girl is growing up, and with that, Fear, Sadness, Disgust, and Anger are joined by new emotions, led by Anxiety. Riley is going through a tough time as her mind is in chaos, and the feelings that have shaped her personality over the years must suddenly make room for the new ones. Tears are guaranteed at the finale.

"Inside Out 2" perfectly fits the beginning of summer. This animated film will be this summer's hit, and it is already breaking box office records.

As we wrote, Pixar's computer animation initially earned 124 million pounds in the US. It is the best opening result achieved this year. It almost doubled the result of two titles from March: "Dune: Part Two" (66 million pounds) and "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" (64 million pounds). The best summer season opening result this year was held by "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes," with only 47 million pounds.

New viewership results are coming in, and they are even more impressive. As reported by "Hollywood Reporter," the animation is "on fire".

The film has already earned 579 million pounds, and that's after just two weekends of global screenings. Ticket revenues are so huge that it has already surpassed "Dune: Part Two" (which has grossed 569 million pounds). And that's not all. The cartoon could become the most-watched in the history of animated films and make it to the list of the highest-grossing films of all time. It is already being noted that the results of "Inside Out 2" from the second weekend are better than what "Barbie" achieved two weeks after its premiere.

"Bad Boys: Ride or Die" is second in the American box office. The film starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence has grossed 231 million pounds.
