Manchester City star Phil Foden has realised his dream of living close to nature by moving to a luxurious estate with its own fishing lake. The 24-year-old midfielder now resides with his partner, Rebecca Cooke, and their three children. He recently showcased his latest catch online.

The estate, covering over 2.5 acres in Cheshire's picturesque surroundings, has become the new home for Foden and his family. The house, which boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms, has already featured in photos of the footballer with his son Ronnie as they fish together.

A source close to the player revealed to "The Sun" that fishing has long been Foden's passion, and owning a property with a lake was his ultimate dream.

It's the perfect place for him to indulge quietly in his passion, as well as to teach Ronnie all the essential fishing skills, a source reveals.

In one of the recent photos shared by Foden on Instagram Stories, we see him with his son and a huge fish. The captured specimen is a fully scaled carp, but its dimensions remain a mystery.

An important feature of the new home is the adjacent one-bedroom house, which will accommodate the player's extended family.

The player and his family are making full use of all the estate's facilities, and Foden admits that he can now leave his gear on site, return home for a meal, and continue fishing at his leisure.

According to "The Sun", Foden also considers taking up fishing professionally after his football career ends.

Moreover, instead of visiting fashionable, exotic holiday destinations, he spent five days on a modest fishing holiday on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, accompanied by his father. A witness at Linear Fisheries in Witney reported that Phil was happier than ever, camping in a regular tent, and you could feel he was thoroughly enjoying the peace.

Although Phil Foden earns £200,000 a week, he demonstrates that time spent with loved ones by the water is worth more than the most expensive holidays.
