Recipe for pasta casserole with phyllo dough

This casserole is ideal for a family dinner. It is delicious and filling and will surely satisfy the appetites of all household members. Thanks to garlic and parsley, this dish is also very aromatic.

Ingredients:

  • 3 sheets of phyllo dough
  • 500 grams (about 18 oz) pasta twists
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley
  • 500 grams (about 18 oz) cottage cheese

Ingredients for the mixture:

  • 500 millilitres (about 2 cups) milk
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • 125 millilitres (about 1/2 cup) oil

Preparation:

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water until soft.
  2. Crush the cottage cheese with a fork, add finely chopped parsley and garlic pressed through a press, and mix.
  3. Prepare the mixture to pour over the pasta. In a bowl, beat the eggs, add oil, milk, and salt, and mix well.
  4. Transfer the cooked pasta to a separate bowl and pour the prepared mixture.
  5. Grease a baking dish with butter. Place a sheet of phyllo dough on the bottom, and add half the pasta with the mixture.
  6. Place the second sheet of phyllo dough and spread the mixture of cottage cheese, garlic, and parsley on it.
  7. Cover with the next sheet of phyllo dough.
  8. Put the remaining pasta with the mixture on top, and place the last sheet of phyllo dough.
  9. Pour the remaining mixture over the casserole.
  10. Bake the casserole at 175°C (about 350°F) for 30 minutes, until the phyllo dough is golden brown.
