UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett caused a stir during the Euro 2024 final. Although he is a fan of the English club Liverpool FC, he does not support the England national team. He explained his joy after Spain's decisive goal and his vulgar shouts by saying he had won a bet.

Paddy Pimblett joined the UFC in 2021. He has five wins behind him and is currently in the final stage of preparations for a confrontation in the octagon with Bobby Green, which will take place in July in Manchester.

By his own choice, Paddy Pimblett's preparations were disrupted by the stir. The Englishman is explaining his behaviour during the Euro 2024 final to his compatriots. In the match, the team from the British Isles was defeated 2-1 by Spain.

The athlete has already admitted in the past that he doesn’t root for the England national football team. On Sunday, however, he went a step further and ostentatiously celebrated after Spain's decisive goal, while also vulgarly insulting the English fans accompanying him. The recording quickly found its way to social media.

Paddy Pimblett decided to explain his behaviour by stating he won a bet. He bet money on Spain's victory in the Euro 2024 final, which heightened his excitement.

Many people are making a big fuss about this video, so I’m posting it again for everyone to see. I made a bet with a few friends in the pub, and if England had won, I would have had to pay three thousand pounds (around £3,000). Ten minutes earlier, England had tied the match 1-1, so I had to reciprocate with joy - writes the UFC fighter.
That’s exactly how I felt, winning three thousand almost in the last minute of the match. Anyone who says they wouldn’t celebrate a win like that is crazy - adds Paddy Pimblett.
