Russian forces attacked a critical infrastructure facility in the city of Novohrad-Volynskyi, located in the Zhytomyr district in central Ukraine, with drones. Dangerous air contamination has been reported. Authorities have urged residents to stay indoors and close windows.

In response, the Novohrad-Volynskyi City Council has decided to implement remote learning in all schools. "Regarding preschool education facilities, groups will be organized for parents who have no one to leave their children with," states the official announcement from the Council.

The Council reports a "direct threat" of exposure to contaminated air and thus recommends staying indoors and closing windows.
