The actress recently, along with her co-star Reese Witherspoon, gave an interview to Vanity Fair magazine. At one point, the topic of the new season of their joint project came up, to which Kidman gave a surprising response.

Recently, Vanity Fair interviewed the stars of "Big Little Lies," Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. During the conversation, the "Legally Blonde" star joked about her colleague, claiming she had already said "too much" about the third season of their joint project.

Kidman did not take the joke seriously but rather agreed with her, stating that she often gets excited during interviews:

- We need to shut up. There’s a whole thing about how you should never talk about something until you’ve done it because if you talk about doing it then it’s the dopamine hit of doing it and you feel like you’ve done it. It’s a scientific study - Kidman replied with a smile.

However, she didn't end her response there, as she emphasised a moment later that although she doesn't want to reveal more, she reassures fans – yes, work is underway on the third season of "Big Little Lies":

- We’re moving fast and furious. Liane [Moriarty] is delivering the book. We’re in good shape - Kidman concluded.

Both stars served as executive producers for the first two seasons and played leading roles. Reese Witherspoon played Madeline Mackenzie, and Nicole Kidman played Celeste Wright.

What is the "Big Little Lies" series about? Where to watch it?

The series "Big Little Lies" is based on Liane Moriarty's bestselling novel. The protagonists are three mothers of first-graders (played by Witherspoon, Kidman, and Shailene Woodley) who struggle with their careers and motherhood.

However, something more sinister lurks beneath the surface of their seemingly perfect lives in an affluent small-town community. When a murder occurs, chaos and turmoil invade their lives, and every resident is eager to point fingers at the guilty.

The first season was closely linked to the original book, while the second season diverged somewhat from Moriarty's canon. As Kidman tells us, the upcoming third season will be tied to Moriarty's work again, but we must wait for her creation. The latest episodes of "Big Little Lies" were aired in 2019, and the series can be watched on the MAX platform (formerly HBO Max/HBO GO).
