The Australian star, who gained fame from the movie about King Kong, is now a top-tier actress with two Oscar nominations. Her latest project is a big-budget Disney+ series.

Although a few weeks have passed since the premiere of the series "Feud: Capote vs. the Swans," the stars and creators of the production gathered at a special event and press conference, where we could once again see the on-screen "swans." Who are we talking about? That's what Truman Capote, the legendary American writer, called his influential and wealthy friends from New York's social elite. The second part of the anthology is about their conflict.

Unfortunately, almost all the stars showed up on the black-and-white carpet except for Calista Flockhart. Among them, Naomi Watts shone the brightest. The actress owes her delicate beauty to how time treats her quite gently. The most gratifying part is that she still lands exciting roles despite Hollywood’s toxic standards, like in "Feud."

Naomi Watts in "Feud" was cast as Babe, also known as Barbara Cushing Mortimer Paley. This woman was the wife of one of the most influential media people of that decade, CBS founder William S. Paley. She was wealthy and had a beautiful apartment in Manhattan, but it was an open secret that her husband was unfaithful. The secret came to light when Truman decided to write down the sins and secrets of his friends. This became the foundation for the script of the second part of the "Feud" anthology, created by Ryan Murphy.

The first part tells the story of the conflict between two Hollywood divas: Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. We highly recommend this anthology because it's rare to find shows of such high-quality today, with a great cast, high budget, and captivating plotline. Both parts are available on Disney+.

Naomi Watts took her first steps in the industry as a teenager. She knew a film set was her destiny, so she attended every possible casting call. At one of them, she met Nicole Kidman. Their friendship continues to this day. Not even the fact that Kidman succeeded first while Watts had to cheer her on, dreaming that she too would find success, could interfere with their bond. This only happened when she moved to Los Angeles. Initially, she played "bit parts," appearing in insignificant films.

The breakthrough in her career came in 2001 when she landed the lead role in today's cult thriller "Mulholland Drive" by David Lynch. Offers from the biggest studios and names poured in rapidly: since then, her portfolio includes high-budget films ("King Kong", "The Impossible") and critically acclaimed movies like "21 Grams". Let's remember that Naomi Watts portrayed Princess Diana in the biographical film about the Queen of Hearts. There are as many as five new productions in the works involving her—an excellent record by outdated Hollywood standards, which absurdly suggests that actresses over 35 fade into obscurity.

It is said that both the creators and the cast of the second part of "Feud" can expect a shower of Emmy nominations. This would explain their return to promotional activities for this title.

The announcement of the nominations will take place on July 17. The main competitors of "Feud" may turn out to be "Ripley" and "Baby Reindeer" from Netflix, "Felow Travellers" (SkyShowtime), or "True Detective 4" from HBO Max.
