The deceased pilot took part in the attack on the Amstor shopping centre in Kremenchuk, where 22 people died, Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) reported on Monday.

According to the HUR statement, the officer was likely killed by hammer blows. "Dmitri Golenkov was a pilot of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces, stationed at the Shaykovka airbase and equipped with Tu-22M3 bombers," HUR stated on Telegram.

As reported by the Polish Press Agency, HUR conveyed that the war criminal participated in missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, including the Amstor shopping centre in Kremenchuk in the Poltava region.

At the time of the attack on 27 June 2022, about 1,000 people were in the shopping centre. Twenty-two were killed, and dozens were injured.

"Golenkov was also responsible for the missile attack on a residential building in Dnipro on 14 January 2023, in which 46 Ukrainian civilians died, including six children.

The body of the Russian war criminal Dmitri Golenkov was found with numerous head injuries, likely from hammer blows," noted the HUR statement.
