A quick cake with cream. Sounds like a joke? Such a dessert immediately brings to mind baking a sponge cake and then preparing cream, which takes a lot of time. But it's different with Milky Land. Just a few ingredients are needed, and the longest part is chilling it.

Idea for a quick dessert

Milky Land is an instant dessert because it's made with biscuits. You layer them with a sweet cream that perfectly soaks them. You can use ready-made caramel from a can or prepare a simple mixture based on condensed milk. This product is often found in the kitchen cupboard because it has a long shelf life. It’s suitable for Vietnamese coffee and many cakes, especially cheesecake. It's also the base for the Milky Land dessert mixture.

You don’t even have to whip it

Condensed milk is made by evaporating a significant amount of water from cow's milk, resulting in a thick, sweet mixture. Thanks to the thickening process, its caloric value increases significantly, but it also concentrates proteins and nutrients such as vitamin B12 and calcium. Such milk whips quickly, and if you're short on time, just spread it on the biscuits. To give the dessert a varied taste, add a layer of jam. Blackcurrant is perfect as it contrasts with the milky flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 450 grams of biscuits, you can choose spiced,
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk,
  • 1 small jar of blackcurrant jam, optional.

For decoration:

  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped nuts,
  • a tablespoon of crushed biscuits.

Preparation method:

  1. Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper.

  3. In the prepared baking dish, lay out the biscuits and spread a thin layer of jam on them. Then layer with the milk mixture and more biscuits.
  4. Decorate the top with a thin layer of cream, then sprinkle with toasted almond flakes, nuts, or crushed biscuits.
  5. Cover the dessert with cling film and refrigerate for a few hours.
