Mercedes' S Class facelift. Subtle on the outside, revolutionary inside
Mercedes' flagship sedan has undergone a discreet facelift covering visual and technical aspects. We will mostly appreciate them once we sit inside — as drivers and passengers.
Midway through 2024 is quickly approaching. For this occasion, Mercedes has prepared a refreshed edition of the S Class for the new model year. At first glance, it's hard to distinguish it from the previous variants. The whole magic happens inside.
The Stuttgart brand focused primarily on the comfort of the driver and passengers. The former will appreciate the assistance systems that have evolved to a new level of sophistication, achieving Level 2 SAE. This means, among other advantages, that automatic lane changing is now standard.
The second noteworthy update is the upgraded multimedia MBUX, now enhanced with Sony Pictures Entertainment's video streaming service RIDEVU. This feature transforms the S Class cabin into a luxury cinema on wheels. For cinematic relaxation, new, standard headrests with additional side cushions will support us. But what's happening outside?
Regarding the exterior, the Germans have introduced two exceptionally attractive paint options. That's silver verde metallic and velvet brown metallic. Both will undoubtedly make it stand out from the crowd.
For now, we do not have details on how the facelift will influence the prices of the S Class. However, it's safe to assume that it will probably make little of a difference for most customers.
