"That kind of saved me honestly.I needed an escape," said Fox about motherhood. She stressed that prior to becoming a mother, she was "so lost and trying to understand how am I supposed to feel value or find purpose in this horrendous, patriarchal, misogynistic hell that was Hollywood at the time?" the actress said in an interview with the "Washington Post."
Megan Fox had her first child at the age of 26, Noah Shannon Green, in 2012. In subsequent years, he was joined by Bodhi Ransom (2014) and Journey River (2016). The marriage of the "Transformers" star and actor Brian Austin Green ("Beverly Hills 90210"), who is 12 years older, lasted 12 years. The couple divorced in 2022.
Megan explains that when it comes to her being a mother, there are "certain things boys should never see their mothers do."
"There are some good projects I've read that are with talented people, talented directors, but the things the women are required to do in the movie are things I can't have my sons ever know or see. I don't think my boys could handle that. They can't separate the experience of the reality from the art. It gets very confusing when it's your own mother," Megan Fox warned in an interview.
"I was offered a project that's coming out on HBO that centres around the life of a prostitute and it has very graphic scenes things you would see in a pornographic film and those are things that are degrading to the woman who's playing the character," said Megan, who was recently seen in the fourth part of "The Expendables."
The actress admitted that in recent years, she had to turn down many offers to play in projects that, in her opinion, contained excessively bold scenes. "I even read a few very good scripts, which involved talented people and talented directors, but what the women had to do in them were things my sons should never see me do," the actress concluded.
