Many of the reports provided by Russian media or government officials are elements of propaganda. Such information is part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

The German company Rheinmetall and the state-owned Ukrainian conglomerate Ukroboronprom opened a joint facility in Ukraine. Armoured vehicles will be produced and repaired there, as reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Strategic Industries in mid-October.

Dmitry Medvedev reacted to this information. "Germany's Rheinmetall has launched the first of its four weapons manufacturing plants in Ukraine. As promised, we're looking forward to seeing some Russian fireworks on the premises" - he wrote on Telegram.

He added a video showing an explosion to the post.

At the same time, the number of Russian sabotage attempts in the West is increasing, targeting, among others, water supply sources and airports. However, fearing "escalation," the German government is not taking retaliatory actions; the time has come for the West to repay Russia in kind - assessed the newspaper "Die Welt" in mid-October.

The newspaper highlighted that a significant increase in Russian acts of sabotage in the West has been observed for months. The article recalled reports about, among other things, a plan to assassinate the head of the German arms company Rheinmetall and the story of a burning package that was supposed to board a plane in Leipzig. Authorities in Berlin suspect that Russia is responsible for these attack attempts.
