It's important to note that many reports from Russian media or officials are acts of propaganda. These statements are part of the information conflict orchestrated by the Russian Federation.
Sergei Naryshkin, the head of Russia's foreign intelligence service, claimed recently that "France is organizing a unit destined for Ukraine." - The initial deployment will involve roughly 2,000 personnel - he mentioned in a discussion with TASS agency.
At February's end, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the option of sending Western ground forces to Ukraine should not be dismissed, although he believes that currently, there is "no agreement" on this matter.
Medvedev issues a warning to the French
The subject of potentially deploying French troops to Ukraine was broached on Wednesday by Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. The ex-President of Russia once more issued a threat to the West.
"Truly, for the cause, it would be beneficial if the restless French dispatched a few regiments to Ukraine. Concealing such a significant number of military personnel would pose a challenge, thus the task of their systematic elimination would not be the most difficult, yet it would be of utmost importance. But what use would that be!" - he articulated on Telegram.
He emphasized that the presence of French units in Ukraine would lead to their prioritized destruction by the Russian military. "For the leaders of France, this would be comparable to the guillotine. They will be torn apart by the enraged relatives and opposition members who were informed that France is not at war with Russia. And for the other restless fools in Europe, it will serve as a valuable lesson," - he reiterated, echoing Russian propaganda.
