Floyd Mayweather Jr. attended a Round of 16 game of the American NBA, the world's premier basketball league. Before settling in to watch the fifth clash between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks, he interacted with homeless individuals and gifted them around £24,000.

The current season of the globally renowned NBA is nearing its conclusion. The competition is in the Round of 16 phase, featuring a notable matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The two teams have been trading victories. Following their third win, the Dallas Mavericks are on the brink of progressing to the quarterfinals. A win in their next game would see them through, whilst a loss would necessitate a decisive match.

At the game on Thursday (2 May) in the stands, notable attendee Floyd Mayweather Jr. graced the event. This American boxer is a former world champion of the WBC, WBA, and WBO federations in the welterweight division, retiring in 2017.

A report from TMZ Sports highlighted an interesting occurrence before the game. On the streets of Los Angeles, Mayweather encountered a group of homeless men.

Following their exchange, per the source, Mayweather Jr. generously provided the homeless men with £24,000.

For the retired boxer, such an act of kindness is barely a dent in his finances, given that his net worth is evaluated at a whopping £360 million. Over his career, the 45-year-old has reportedly amassed earnings surpassing £880 million.
