Matty Cash was not taken to Euro 2024. Opinions on the coach's decision were divided, and time will tell if the defender, who plays regularly in the Premier League, will return to the national team.
Matty Cash had to swallow the disappointment of not being called up for a major football tournament and had plenty of time to relax on holiday. He is already posting photos on social media of his preparations for the new season but also found time for a fan and his sons.
In a recording that Jamie Haydock posted on the social media platform X, Matty Cash has a little training session with young footballers on the beach. The conditions were a bit makeshift, given the volleyball net, but it didn't diminish the joy of playing.
Every credit and many thanks to @mattycash622 for making my football mad eldest sons holiday today, taking time to chat to him and playing some football with him. What a guy - Jamie Haydock wrote.
Matty Cash will most likely spend the next season at Aston Villa. He has been with the Birmingham team since 2020 and has played in the Premier League and European competitions. After years of playing at the highest level in England, it's no surprise that fans approach him even on holiday.
The defender has also gained recognition in Poland, although he doesn't spend much time there. He was last there in March, as he was called up for the playoffs for Euro 2024 qualification. He didn't contribute much to defeating Estonia and Wales, as he was injured early and watched the playoff final on TV in England.
