Macaulay Culkin joins the cast of the second season of "Fallout"
According to "Deadline," Macaulay Culkin, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in the iconic "Home Alone" films, will appear in the second season of the series "Fallout." Based on the popular video game series from Bethesda Game Studios, the production gained massive popularity after its release in April 2024, attracting over 65 million viewers within the first 16 days on Prime Video.
Culkin is set to portray a character described as a "crazy genius." Although Prime Video has not yet officially commented on this information nor released details regarding the role, fans are already speculating about its significance for the series' plot.
This is not Culkin's first collaboration with Prime Video. The actor recently lent his voice to a character in the first episode of the animated series "The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy." His recent performances, including his role in "American Horror Story: Double Feature" from 2021, have been highly praised by critics.
In "Fallout," Culkin will once again reunite on set with Walton Goggins, with whom he worked on the series "The Righteous Gemstones," where he played his son. Their reunion promises an interesting on-screen chemistry between the characters.
Filming for the second season of "Fallout" is set to begin in November. Although little is known about Culkin's new character, it is speculated that he may be linked to the mysterious scientists from the first season, which could introduce new, intriguing plotlines to the story.
"Fallout" is a series set in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles of an alternate 1950s, where nuclear war has devastated the Earth, and humanity struggles to survive in a world full of radiation and mutants. Adding Culkin to the cast is sure to increase interest in the upcoming season, especially since the media has been following his return to pop culture in recent years. Everyone certainly remembers the discussions about the actor's decline. His parents' divorce, addiction to alcohol and drugs, and legal troubles all pulled him down. Then there was another family tragedy — his sister died in front of his eyes, as his brother Kieran Culkin recently mentioned.
