The regime-endorsed Belarusian agency, BelTA, reported that Lukashenko referred to a "planned provocation against the Polish population" during a meeting with security forces.

"We come across various provocation scenarios, extremist conduct, and the employment of combatants stationed within Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania. We make these public where possible. We plan to uphold this tradition. Here's another piece of operational information: Polish and American intelligence agencies are scheming a major provocation against the civilian populace of Poland, and they plan to blame Russia and Belarus," stated Lukashenko.

Some independent experts propose that a provocation at the Belarusian-Polish border could occur. Recently formed special units of the Belarusian internal troops trained by mercenaries from the Russian Wagner Group could participate.

Political observers remark that this isn't the first time Aleksandr Lukashenko has unveiled Moscow's plans. He has reported similar threats on multiple occasions in the past.
