Family, friends, and millions of Liam Payne's fans have yet to accept the shocking tragedy that unfolded last Wednesday at a luxury hotel in Buenos Aires. The ongoing investigation will undoubtedly help to establish the exact sequence of events, with more information gradually emerging.
The relatives of the 31-year-old have demanded that his body be repatriated to his homeland as soon as possible. However, as reported by Argentine media, they will need to remain patient. The singer's funeral ceremony is expected to take place only in November.
Liam Payne's body to remain abroad temporarily
Editors of the "Clarin" newspaper have informed that the singer's body will stay in the country for at least 10 days, with the possibility of an additional 5-day delay. This depends on the timeline for receiving the results of the toxicological tests conducted.
This implies that the repatriation of the remains, and thus the official farewell to the man, could occur as early as the beginning of next month. Representatives of the British embassy have assured the newspaper that they "are supporting Liam Payne's family and are in contact with local authorities."
