Recipe for the Lazy Housewife Cake

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of flour,
  • 200 grams of sugar,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 175 millilitres of milk,
  • 80 millilitres of oil,
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
  • a pinch of salt,
  • 500 grams of plums.

Crumble:

  • 1000 grams of flour,
  • 50 grams of sugar,
  • 50 grams of cold butter.

Preparation of the Lazy Housewife Cake:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the eggs, milk, and oil.
  2. Mix until you get a smooth batter, then pour the batter into a baking form lined with parchment paper.
  3. Wash and cut the plums in half, remove the pits, and arrange the plums on top of the cake, pressing them lightly into the batter.
  4. For the crumble: mix the flour, sugar, and butter until crumbs form, then sprinkle the crumble over the cake with plums.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C, and bake the cake for 40-45 minutes until the crumble is golden and the cake is baked.
