Kerch Strait under fire: Ukrainian missiles hit Russian ferries
The General Staff of Ukraine reported on Thursday about a "successful attack" using long-range ATACMS missiles on the ferry crossing through the Kerch Strait in Crimea. It was added that two ferries were damaged in the attack. One of the vessels ran aground, blocking the entire crossing.
The attack was carried out overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. The Russians used the blocked ferry crossing to supply their units in annexed Crimea.
The Ukrainian General Staff indicated in a statement that as a result of the actions of Ukrainian rocket forces, the military logistics of the occupiers in Crimea were significantly damaged.
Earlier, the occupying authorities of the peninsula reported the shelling. The so-called Minister of Transport of Crimea, Nikolai Lukashenko, stated that Ukrainian forces attacked transportation infrastructure facilities in Kerch in eastern Crimea.

"While repelling the enemy's attack on transportation infrastructure facilities in the city of Kerch, two ferries - one for cars and one for trains - were damaged by fragments of intercepted missiles - the windows of the superstructures were damaged. There were no casualties among sailors and civilians. After assessing the damage, the ferry crossing will be resumed," the politician conveyed on Telegram.
The "Ukrainian Pravda" portal reports that about 20 explosions were heard in Kerch.
