The 66-year-old artist directed and released the short animation "Little Shrew", thus supporting the War Child charity organisation.

Bush revealed that she is "very eager" to start working on a new album after her 1985 hit "Running Up That Hill" returned to the charts in 2022, earning new recognition from a new generation of fans.

The star avoids interviews but made an exception for BBC Radio 4's programme "Today". The singer admitted that she has "a lot of ideas" for a new album. Her last studio album, "50 Words For Snow", was released in 2011.

I can't wait to return to the creative space. It's been a long time — said Bush.

The artist emphasised that her new music must be different from her previous works. Asked about returning to the stage, she joked, "I'm not ready for that yet," but added she is ready to move forward.

The music for her new animation is a radio edit of the song "Snowflake" from 2011. Bush started working on the animation shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, which she called "a shock for all of us."

I thought people would be more empathetic towards a small creature than a human, so I came up with a story about a little shrew — she explained.

A fortune thanks to the Netflix hit

"Running Up That Hill" brought Bush significant financial success, earning £8 million after re-entering the top of the charts thanks to the Netflix series "Stranger Things".

The song broke three Guinness records, including as the oldest artist to top the official UK singles chart.

The track gained global popularity, reaching number one on the charts in Australia and the United States. Bush tripled her wealth, and her company Noble & Brite Ltd earned £9 million in 2022.

In "Stranger Things," "Running Up That Hill" became the favourite track of Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink), contributing to its renaissance. It was the first time since 1978 that Bush topped the charts in Australia.
