Kamala Harris mulls next move after unexpected defeat

Although we are still awaiting the official results, it is already certain that Donald Trump will become the new President of the United States. The millionaire has surprisingly defeated Kamala Harris by a wide margin, and media speculations about her future career are circulating. According to the "New York Times," the politician has two potential paths.

Following her loss in the presidential election, Kamala Harris now faces a decision regarding her next career move. As reported by the Polish Press Agency and cited in the "New York Times," possible scenarios for the former US Vice President are under analysis.

One option for Harris is to run again in the 2028 presidential elections. While this may seem a natural course, history shows it seldom brings the desired success. For instance, Hillary Clinton, after her 2016 defeat, did not return to prominent political roles.

Alternatively, Harris might consider a career in the private sector. Many politicians leave Washington for lucrative opportunities with private companies. However, given her political ambitions, such a move might be premature.

Another potential avenue is for Harris to establish a foundation or research institute. Although this might seem risky following an electoral defeat, it would enable her to continue her public activities and influence important social issues.

The "New York Times" also suggests that Harris might consider writing a book. By sharing her experiences from the election campaign and her tenure alongside Joe Biden, she would gain a platform to present her perspective and maintain a presence in public life.

However, Harris may choose to take a break to reflect on her future and draw lessons from recent events. The newspaper notes that after her 2016 election defeat, Hillary Clinton spent time hiking near her home in Chappaqua, New York.
