Manufacturers strive to cut costs and reduce the time it takes to implement new projects. Collaboration is one of the best ways to achieve these goals.

The Japanese stick together, with the latest example being the recent alliance formed by Toyota, Suzuki, Mazda, and Subaru, focusing on the joint development of combustion engines. Other brands have similar plans but in terms of electrification.

According to Reuters, Mitsubishi is on track to reach an agreement with Honda and Nissan regarding electric vehicle components, software, and artificial intelligence. Although the brand has not yet confirmed these revelations, the market reacted positively to the announcements—the value of Mitsubishi's shares increased.

Cooperation with Nissan should not be surprising, as this brand holds a 34% stake in Mitsubishi, part of the Renault-Nissan alliance. Expanding collaboration to include Honda could benefit all interested parties.

However, we must wait for the details. Official statements may appear in the coming days.
