A heatwave has swept into Italy again, resulting from an African anticyclone named Charon. The temperature forecast for Monday is 108 degrees Fahrenheit. The health ministry is urging caution.

The Italian portal roma.corriere.it warned on Monday morning that very high temperatures are expected throughout Italy. According to meteorologists from ilmeteo.it, in northern Italy, the thermometers show 99-100 degrees Fahrenheit.

However, these are not the hottest areas of the country. In Emilia-Romagna, the lower part of Veneto, the provinces of Ferrara and Bologna, and the central part of the country, the mercury exceeds 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

The health ministry has issued the highest red alert for heat in the Eternal City. Rome's authorities have issued a statement highlighting the adverse effects of the heat on health. Repeated appeals have been made to care for the weakest, the sick, and the elderly.

Medical services are on standby, and ambulances circulate the city to respond to fainting cases. Tourists walking in the full sun are particularly at risk.

The media is full of appeals to follow rules important for health and life. It is necessary to seek shade, ensure proper hydration, and use sunscreen.

The current heatwave is expected to last longer in much of Italy. Initially, a cooldown was forecast after the weekend, but the latest forecasts indicate that the heat will last until 10 August in some areas.
