Israeli PM vows retaliation after Iran's failed missile strike
Iran made a grave mistake today; its missile attack on Israel failed, but Tehran will pay for it, announced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Iran launched over 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday; most were intercepted by air defence.
- The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies. They will understand whoever attacks us — we will attack him - emphasised Netanyahu before the security cabinet meeting.
The Prime Minister also called on the world to unite against Iran. - They must stand with Israel. He pointed out that the choice between tyranny and freedom, between blessing and curse, has never been more obvious.
- Israel is on the move, and the axis of evil is retreating. We will do everything necessary to continue this trend, to achieve all the goals of the war, primarily the return of all our hostages, and to ensure our existence and our future - concluded Netanyahu.
BBC: Israel may strike Iranian military bases
In retaliation for Tuesday’s missile barrage, Israel may strike Iranian military bases and command centres. BBC assessed it may also activate its agents inside Iran to target those responsible for the attack or hit nuclear installations.
Iran announced that Tuesday’s raid was revenge for Israel killing Hamas and Hezbollah leaders and announced further attacks, following Israeli military responses.
