The conflict in Ukraine has been ongoing for two years. Throughout this period, the Ukrainian military has frequently displayed videos demonstrating the effective deployment of drones.

Expensive military Bayraktars are gradually replaced by smaller commercial drones equipped with payloads. This approach not only cuts the costs associated with their use but also increases their availability and, consequently, their numbers.

Drones even take out Russian boats

The latest video released by the Ukrainian military highlights their high combat effectiveness. It demonstrates how a Russian boat was destroyed using FPV (first-person view) drone technology, sinking the vessel along with seven soldiers on board.

This incident also showcases the considerable skills of Ukrainian soldiers who, despite the high speed of the boat, managed to target and then shoot it down. This encounter is another example of how the battlefield dynamics are constantly changing, necessitating adaptability and skill from soldiers.

The Ukrainians have recognized this, leading to the start of their drone production after the initial successful uses. Intriguingly, at the beginning of the conflict, this production began in garages, a practice often criticised by Kyiv authorities.
