The grilling season, especially its official start, is still ahead. In spring and summer, many Poles love organizing outdoor gatherings around the grill, which has become a tradition. How do you prepare the grill, and what accessories are necessary? Without this, your sausages will not be delicious and harmful!

Many people do not think about preparing the grill for the season in advance, often doing it at the last minute or not at all. Then, they expose themselves to huge troubles because, after the winter, the device is not always in perfect condition. Remember these few important tips if you are still wondering how to make your grill ready, clean, and safe. Thanks to them, you will avoid your doom while serving grilled dishes.

How to prepare the grill for the season?

First, you must pull out the grill and examine it closely. If it has been covered all winter, you will save yourself quite a bit of work. The best way to start preparing the grill for the season is by wiping its exterior part, and for this, a microfiber cloth and homemade solution based on warm water with dishwashing liquid are perfect.

Only now should you look inside the grill, which may look different depending on how you treated it at the end of the previous season. If the grate were not cleaned, mold or fungus would most likely have settled on the remnants, which would be dangerous to health.

You must get rid of them because otherwise, your grilling will be unhygienic, which could lead to serious poisonings. In this case, the best method would be burning off the grill, that is, pyrolysis. All you need to do is heat the device to about 300 degrees Celsius, leave it for about 30 minutes, and then proceed to clean.

In the next step, the best thing to do is scrub the grate with a stainless steel wire brush and preserve the grill with rice oil or canola oil, which has high smoke points. This is not the case with a gas grill; you can also forget about checking the gas installation of the device, as it is key to your safety.

What accessories are needed for the grill?

If the grill is ready for the season's official start, you better think about whether you have everything you need. The grate is not everything, and for efficient outdoor cooking, you will need tongs, spatulas, and stainless steel baking racks. Other accessories depend on what kind of grill you have because, for a charcoal grill, you will need fuel and a scoop.

Before inviting guests, also focus on a varied menu and don't forget about dishes, cutlery, and trays, especially when preparing vegetables or cheeses.
