The opening match of Euro 2024 took place on Friday, June 14. Six goals were scored as the German national team showed strength and crushed Scotland 5-1. This is how the tournament hosts started the competition.

Five days after this match, Germany played another one, this time against the Hungarian national team. Again, the event hosts performed well and won 2-0. Thanks to this, they have already secured advancement to the knockout stage.

In the match in Stuttgart, Jamal Musiala and Ilkay Gundogan scored goals. The first of the named players opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, and the second scored after just over an hour of play.

This goal was special for Musiala because we are talking about a Stuttgart-born player. The Bayern Munich star also scored in the competition's opening match and was then named the player of the match.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old has also been honoured in his city. A photo from the central train station in Stuttgart appeared on social media. Below the station's name is information about Musiala with graphics from Euro 2024.

"Jamal Musiala's hometown," says the inscription on the special board.
