From the convent to the stage: The transformation of Cristina Scuccia, former nun turned pop star

Music talent shows have uncovered amazing voices across the globe. Among these talents is Cristina Scuccia, who participated in "The Voice of Italy" in 2014. Back then, she was a nun who astonished everyone with an outstanding performance of Alicia Keys' song "No One". She went on to win that season's competition.

Trading the habit for a singing career

Many probably recall Cristina from her "The Voice of Italy" stint. Following her victory, she featured in numerous popular TV programmes worldwide, showcasing her musical ability. Despite her enduring faith, she chose to leave the convent to pursue a music career. It wasn't an easy transition, requiring assistance from a psychologist, but today, she's happy with her decision.

- You have to follow your heart bravely, - she declared in one of the programmes.

We won't see Cristina's "old version" again. She relocated to Spain, took up a waitressing job and underwent a complete style revamp. Donning high heels and smart outfits including suits, blazers, and silk shirts - not to mention a nose piercing - Cristina has created a new image.

Hard to recognise her now

Despite residing in Spain, Cristina Scuccia continues to feature on Italian TV. Photos from the entertainment show "Verissimo" have recently appeared on her official Instagram account (boasting a following of 136,000 individuals).

There, the former nun not only enthrals with her performance but also with her style. Dressed in a white oversized suit adorned with shimmering embellishments, sparkling heels, her long dark hair flowing, and her glowing makeup, Cristina Scuccia captivates the audience.
