Kylian Mbappe gave an interview to CNN before Euro 2024. Viewers were pleasantly surprised, not necessarily by the French national's words but by his British accent.

Kylian Mbappe is a candidate for Euro 2024's biggest star. His recently announced transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid heightened interest in the French national. After the European Championship, the player will begin his journey with the Champions League winners.

For now, Kylian Mbappe wants to fulfil his national ambitions. France will play in German stadiums for its first European Championship title since 2000. This was just two years after Kylian Mbappe was born. Meanwhile, two years ago, France, already with Kylian Mbappe as a leader, became the World Cup runner-up.

"It's going to be an amazing experience, for sure … I really want to win this. It's my first competition as captain, so it's really important for me, and it's always important for the country, and we want them to be proud of us," said Kylian Mbappe in an interview with CNN.

The athlete caught attention not just for his words but even more for his British accent. Internet users joked that Kylian Mbappe speaks English better than Harry Kane, the English team captain. Additionally, viewers noted that the Real Madrid player defies the stereotype that the French have a carefree attitude towards foreign languages.

Kylian Mbappe's English is unreal. Almost perfect English at 22 and hasn't even played anywhere that it's the first language. Impressive. I did not know Mbappe could speak English this well. Even artificial intelligence would have difficulty reproducing that accent, internet users commented, according to the sportbible.com portal.
