Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that handing over F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine "is proof that Washington leads a war gang." Earlier, the head of the State Duma Defence Committee, Gen. Andrei Kartapolov, said that the jets "will not change the course of the special operation." He declared that Russia is ready for this.

Many pieces of information provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.

- F-16 fighter jets are already on their way to Ukraine and will join the defence of Ukrainian skies this summer - announced US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the NATO summit after 3 PM Greenwich Time.

"The governments of Denmark and the Netherlands are in the process of handing over American F-16 jets to Ukraine with the support of the United States" - reads a statement from the White House.

Zelensky thanks for the aircraft

The Ukrainians have been awaiting these machines for months, and it is the F-16 that holds the greatest hope for breaking the Russian front.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already thanked the USA, Denmark, and the Netherlands for "taking practical steps to achieve the goal of all Ukrainians – strengthening the Ukrainian air force with F-16 fighter jets."

"The F-16s will also be used to strengthen Ukraine's air defence. I am convinced that they will help us better protect Ukrainians from Russia's brutal attacks, such as the attack on the Ohmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv this week," wrote Zelensky on the X portal.

The Kremlin quickly reacted to this information. - The transfer of F-16s to Ukraine will not in any way affect the course of the special operation and will change nothing, Russia is ready for this - stated Gen. Andrei Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defence Committee, in an interview with the propagandistic RIA Novosti.

Moments later, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made a statement. - This is proof that Washington leads a war gang - she declared.
