In China, an unusual phenomenon occurred – extreme heat caused protective films on cars to fill with air, creating enormous bubbles on the bodywork. Recordings of this phenomenon quickly gained popularity on social media.

In early August, an unusual phenomenon occurred in China that quickly became a topic of conversation on social media. In the recordings, cars with strangely deformed bodywork looked like they were covered with enormous bubbles.

These unusual deformations were related to the extreme heat that hit China, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.

Protective films, commonly used to protect the paint on new cars, filled with air due to the heat and started to expand, creating an effect resembling balloons.

In Europe, this phenomenon is currently unknown. The portal eska.pl noticed that it is probably due to the use of higher-quality materials. Nevertheless, many car owners install protective films or ceramic coatings to protect the paint from damage and contamination.

Such protections can also give older vehicles a new shine or change their appearance using coloured films. Depending on the type of materials used and the size of the vehicle, the cost of this type of service can range from a few hundred to several thousand pounds.
