Exposed corruption: Former Chernihiv Military Medical Chairman accused of £743,000 bribe scandal
A search of an apartment in Kiev took place on Wednesday, February 21, the property being owned by the ex-head of the Chernihiv District Military Medical Commission. A substantial amount of cash, nearly £743,000, was discovered in the apartment - as reported by “Suspilne Novyny”.

As per journalist sources, the Desniansky District Court in Chernihiv has detained the suspect without the possibility of bail.
A video circulating online shows the officer removing the discovered cash from their hiding places. A considerable amount had accumulated during his tenure in the military.
At this juncture, the representatives of the SBU from the Chernihiv region have stayed silent on the issue. However, it has been revealed to the media and has sparked public outrage. After all, Ukraine is struggling against aggression and needs soldiers as urgently as it needs air to breathe.
