The explosions in Dnipro were heard around 1:15 AM GMT. The Suspile portal reported that the city was targeted by Russian missiles. Information about casualties has not yet been disclosed.

The Ukrainian Air Force Command issued a missile threat warning for the entire Dnipropetrovsk region.

Concurrently, an air raid alert was declared in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions due to enemy tactical aviation activities and the potential for bombing and missile strikes.

Panic in Crimea amid a series of explosions

Tensions also escalated in Crimea, occupied by Russia. Explosions occurred at the oil depots and the seaport in Feodosia, which is used by Putin's army for military purposes. It is highly likely that the Ukrainian armed forces conducted the attack.

Following the explosions, Russian authorities announced the suspension of traffic on the Crimean Bridge until further notice.

The Crimean Bridge, completed in 2018 over the Kerch Strait, links occupied Crimea with Russia's Krasnodar Krai. Moscow utilises this connection to transport soldiers and equipment to Crimea, and subsequently to Ukraine.
