In the early morning, reports emerged online of a Ukrainian missile attack near the Crimean bridge. The Russians are also said to have launched missiles. Local channels report numerous explosions and air defence clashes visible from the Russian-occupied city of Kerch.

According to Kyiv Independent, explosions were also reported in Ukrainian Chornomorsk at around 2:30 GMT. Residents said the bridge connecting occupied Crimea with mainland Russia was closed to traffic. Ukraine has not yet commented on the alleged attack.

Kyiv Independent reports that a fire broke out in Kerch (occupied by Russians) right next to the ferry crossing.

Another shelling of Crimea

Russian-occupied Crimea has once again come under fire. At the beginning of June, massive explosions were there, affecting several regions, including Yevpatoria and Krasnoperekopsk. Residents reported an attack on the peninsula. The Russians were said to have closed the crossing via the Kerch bridge.

Russian Telegram channels released footage from industrial cameras showing the attack a week later. One of them shows the moment when beachgoers were showered with debris. Another shows Russians frantically fleeing to a beachside café.
