This year, the Eurovision Song Contest has been the centre of much attention. Scandals and drama unfolded almost nonstop, reported avidly in real-time by fans from Malmö on social media. Notably, several artists expressed their solidarity with Palestine.

Some artists attempted to reference the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip in their performances. For instance, Bambie Thug aimed to feature the slogan "Free Palestine" in their act, a move the EBU explicitly prohibited.

Portugal's subtle nod to Palestine?

Portugal's act caught the eye of observant viewers for a particular detail. Michał Marszał shared on Instagram a photo showcasing Iolanda's nails, painted in the colours of the Palestinian flag.

Additionally, the absence of Portugal's performance video on YouTube raised eyebrows among netizens, with the EBU not publishing it - Portugal remains the sole country without a clip available.
