Elon Musk's gaming prowess questioned after suspicious stream
Elon Musk is venturing into the world of video games, claiming to be among the top players in popular titles such as Path of Exile 2. However, some suggest he may be leveraging assistance to achieve these high rankings.
During a recent stream where Elon Musk showcased his gameplay of Path of Exile 2, doubts were raised among the players. Viewers observed that Elon struggled with basic game mechanics, such as opening maps. It seemed as though he had never played at that level before, despite his achievements suggesting otherwise.
Polish musician Piotr Weltrowski commented on Musk's behaviour on Facebook. He pointed out that the head of Tesla, SpaceX, and platform X attempt to demonstrate to the world that he is an exceptional player, but his skills do not reflect this.
The problem is that he persistently tries to convince the world that he is an outstanding player, eagerly posting screenshots with rankings where he supposedly appears in the top 100 or even top 10 players globally for a given title – wrote Weltrowski.
In his post, Weltrowski highlights several mistakes made by Musk during the game Path of Exile 2, which, in his view, leave no doubt that Elon's account was developed by someone else.
"Our Elon cannot open a map. (...) It seems as if some person from China who maximised the character prepared easier maps for him and placed them in a special folder but forgot to tell him how to execute them," he added.
Weltrowski concluded that the issue lies in Musk's attempt to craft the image of a masterful player, which does not align with reality.
There is something absolutely alarming about the fact that someone on the brink of global influence has such an inflated ego that he tries to play on an account that someone else has maximised, posting screenshots on social media to suggest he is part of an elite global tier of players. Then, he stages an entire charade to uphold this image and stubbornly clings to it, even though everyone familiar with the game recognises that he's likely spent only about 5 hours on it – summarised Weltrowski.
