In recent months, during student protests, she called for the immediate removal of the president of Columbia University. At the same time, they demanded that the university disinvest from Israel in response to the Israeli military intervention in the Gaza Strip.
During Trump's first term, the position of U.S. Ambassador to the UN was held by Nikki Haley.
