Elise Stefanik was born on 2 July 1984 in Albany, New York. She is of Polish and Dutch heritage. She attended Harvard University and earned a degree in government administration.
In recent months, during student protests, she called for the immediate removal of the president of Columbia University. This occurred after protesters took over a university building and blocked police access. At the same time, they demanded that the university disinvest from Israel in response to the Israeli military intervention in the Gaza Strip.
During Trump's first term, the position of U.S. Ambassador to the UN was held by Nikki Haley.
