Drones target key Russian bomber factory amid escalating conflict
Ukrainian intelligence drones attacked a bomber factory in Tatarstan, Russia, which manufactures and repairs Tu-22M and Tu-160M, reports RBK-Ukraine. Media released footage of the evacuation of workers who left the factory to the sound of alarm sirens. Authorities have introduced a "carpet" plan.

The attack occurred on April 17. According to sources from the RBK-Ukraine portal, drones targeted the Gorbunov aircraft factory in Kazan. Local media reported that alarm sirens sounded in the factory several minutes before the attack, signaling the evacuation of workers.
Authorities introduced a "carpet" plan
A nearby refinery was also evacuated, and civilian airports in Nizhnekamsk and Kazan suspended operations due to the "carpet" plan enforced by the authorities.
The "carpet" plan is invoked in "illegal border crossing" cases and when unidentified objects are detected in the airspace. It requires the immediate landing or diversion from the zone of all civilian aircraft, except for military and rescue planes.
With these, Putin conducts massive attacks
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claims that all drones were intercepted. The TSN channel published a collection of recordings that Russians themselves shared online.
One of them shows plumes of smoke rising above the factory.
The strategic bombers Tu-22M and Tu-160M represent a significant threat to Ukraine. Vladimir Putin uses them to launch massive strikes on targets in Ukraine. The Kazan factories are part of the Tupolev Russian Aviation Design Bureau & Aircrafts holding.
