Dmitri Medvedev threatens nuclear missiles targeting Europe amidst tensions with the West
It's crucial to bear in mind that much of the narrative spun by Russian media or power representatives may be propagandistic in nature. Exaggerated accounts of impending military maneuvers and ubiquitous threats are part of the information warfare engaged in by the Russian Federation.

Dmitri Medvedev, the former Russian president, is sure that Russian citizens will not easily accept a redrawing of their borders. In this scenario, the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation would not shy away from making the most severe decisions.
He ominously hinted that if Russia is pushed to revert to its 1991 status quo (post-USSR dissolution), it could trigger a global nuclear conflict as retribution.
The disintegration of Russia would have far more terrifying consequences than any ordinary or even protracted war. Reverting Russia to its 1991 borders could only result in one outcome: a worldwide conflict with Western nations using the full extent of our country's strategic arsenal - Medvedev warns.
According to the Russian politician, hypersonic nuclear bombs would not be limited to taking down Kyiv, but also London, Berlin and "other historic sites", which have allegedly been long-standing targets of the Kremlin. All of this is threatened in revenge for a potential Russian defeat.
"Have we got the audacity to do this if it risks the dissolution of a millennia-old nation, our magnificent motherland, rendering the sacrifices made by the Russian nation over centuries completely futile?" - Medvedev asks rhetorically.
