Diddy faces trial turmoil amid holiday breakdown in jail
According to reports from foreign media, Diddy is currently experiencing difficult times. During the holidays, the rapper reportedly had a severe breakdown and sought to be admitted to a hospital for observation, as he is struggling to cope with his emotions.
Diddy remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial. The rapper faces accusations of offences including human trafficking, extortion, and sex-related crimes. Combs denies all allegations, but the charges are so serious that even a proposed bail of $50 (£40) million did not secure his release.
The conditions in detention are harsh. Diddy is in isolation, in what's known as the "hole", without access to any luxuries, and he does not receive any special "celebrity" treatment. The stark contrast with his previous lifestyle is causing significant distress. During the holiday season, he reportedly suffered a severe breakdown.
Diddy is going through tough times in detention
According to the Daily Mail, Diddy spent this year's holidays behind bars in what was an extremely difficult experience for him. He reportedly mentioned that his condition was so dire he requested to be transferred to the prison hospital for observation.
With his high powered legal team Diddy thought he’d be out on bail by now. (...) Spending the holidays behind bars was a nightmare for him. He eventually managed to calm himself down with the meditation technique he’s been using while he’s been behind bars. It took him a few hours of deep breathing and focusing to get out of the bad space he was in, but he finally managed it, a source close to the rapper informed the Daily Mail.
The source added that Diddy dearly misses his family and is struggling with the enforced separation.
