Chicken wings are a favourite snack for both children and adults. Prepared with the right breading and crispy skin, they become the hit of any party or family gathering. However, a trick will make homemade wings tastier and crispier than those served in popular fast-food places. Below, you'll find a recipe for exceptionally crispy wings that will surprise your guests with their taste and perfect texture. Check out how to prepare them to win the hearts of all your guests!

The secret to perfect wings: Marinade and breading

The key to success is the right marinade, which will make the meat juicy and flavoured. Natural yoghurt excellently tenderises the meat, and adding your favourite herbs and spices gives the wings a unique taste. Cornflakes, in turn, create a crispy breading that crunches delightfully with every bite.

How to prepare perfect wings?

Ingredients:

  • 1.4 kg of chicken wings,
  • 400 g of Greek yoghurt,
  • 340 g of cornflakes,
  • granulated garlic,
  • sweet paprika,
  • ground chilli,
  • salt,
  • oil for frying.

Preparation:

  1. Mix the yoghurt with your favourite spices. Add garlic, sweet paprika, chilli, and salt to taste.
  2. Put the wings in a bowl with the marinade and mix thoroughly. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Crush the cornflakes into small pieces.
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade and coat them in the crushed flakes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the wings in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain the wings on a paper towel and serve with your favourite sauces, such as barbecue, garlic, or sweet and sour.

If you prefer healthier options, you can bake the wings in the oven instead of frying the wings. Simply line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the wings on it, and bake at 180°C for about 30–40 minutes until the skin is crispy.
