Extremes in weather are appearing in various parts of the globe. Recently, our country experienced heavy downpours causing flash floods, while residents of India faced heatwaves exceeding 50 degrees Celsius. A record-breaking hailstone was also noted, comparable in size to a ripe pineapple.

Climate change is affecting people worldwide. Recently, India faced a record-breaking heatwave. The temperature exceeded 50 degrees Celsius in the shade, resulting in the deaths of at least 56 people. On Monday, the residents of Bielsko-Biała experienced a flash flood. The streets turned into raging rivers, submerging cars up to the roof. Meanwhile, a record-breaking hailstone fell in northern Texas that could easily compete in size with... a pineapple!

It shows a single hailstone with a diameter of 18 centimetres! Another hailstorm, though it brought slightly smaller ice chunks, still had impressively large sizes. Fox Weather reports on hail that seemed as large as "an energy drink can".

Hailstones reaching such large sizes threaten the life and health of both people and animals. Experts indicate that a hailstone exceeding 8 centimetres can already result in death.

As one internet user mentioned in her comment, deadly hailstorms have also occurred in our country.
