The shower tray is a place where soap scum and residues easily accumulate. These stains can not only appear unsightly but also contribute to the growth of bacteria. Effective cleaning of the shower tray is not just a matter of aesthetics but also of hygiene.

In addition to standard cleaning agents, there are domestic methods that can be equally effective. We should strive to avoid chemicals that may damage the tray's surface or adversely affect the environment.

Home methods for shower tray cleanliness

One popular home solution for a clean shower tray is using a dishwasher tablet. The process begins by plugging the drain, then placing the tablet inside. The next step is to cover it with warm water. However, it's important not to use boiling water, which could damage the tray's surface.

After about ten minutes, when the tablet starts to work, you can wipe the tray's surface. This method removes soap residues and limescale with minimal effort. Dishwasher tablets often contain shine agents, which additionally help restore the tray's gloss.

Dishwasher tablets – a universal solution

Tablets, which we use daily in dishwashers, have more applications than you might think. Besides the shower tray, they can also be used to clean the toilet, effectively removing yellow stains and limescale. A significant advantage is their ability to neutralise unpleasant odours, enhancing the overall comfort of using the bathroom.
