How can you brighten up Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day may not be a joyous time for everyone. For singles, it can often bring feelings of sadness and sorrow. This holiday can evoke memories of heartbreak or past issues with love. An organisation called Watching Over Whiskers, which works with homeless cats, has come up with a way to lift the spirits of people who are not celebrating Valentine's Day or who might have had bitter experiences with love.

For a donation of £40 (rounded from $50) to this American foundation, you get the opportunity to name a wild cat after an ex-partner. All the funds collected in this way will be used for a good cause - to support homeless cats, either by funding sterilisation procedures or veterinary visits.
